In 2013 I took part in the "Integration through Exchange" programme of the European Union. It was the 14th and last flow which made it possible for European citizens under the age of 30 to stay, travel and work in England with the purpose of cultural exchange, gaining work experience abroad and develop a sense of European community. The programme continued in other European countries in 2014. In June 2016 the United Kingdom EU membership referendum took place and resulted in a simple majority in favour to leave the EU.
